Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT 06459-3208)
Richard T. Vann (Project Director: July 1974 to present)

The objective of the program is to give a new facet to Wesleyan's stated commitment to teaching science in the social context and imaginative implications: to explore, through the discovery of mutual relations of philosophy, history, literature and the sciences, new and more effective ways of teaching humanities to science-oriented students and science to students oriented toward the humanities; to foster dialogue between scientist and humanities onteh Wesleyan faculty; and to work toward a volume of essays that would bring the accompliments of the program to the scholarly public.
