To explore how the values of the humanities and social sciences can be best integrated with science and engineering. To creat a humanities program that will implement the W.P.I. Plan which calls for the award of a B.S. degree for competence, not accumulated credits; gives priority for project work and independent study; emphasizes personal development and social responsibility; down plays the classroom as the primary place of learning; and promotes curricular flexibility.
