Curriculum Improvement in the Humanities

The planning grant period will be divided into three stages. During the first semester 1973-74, surveys will be made to determine to what extent departments can 1) offer courses focusing on women, especially Black women, and 2) offer interdisicplinary courses. During the second semester of 1973-74, 12 meetings will be held to which department chairmen and interested faculty will be invited. Plans will be made for a summer workshop where both interested faculty and outside consultants will further refine the proposed curricular changes.
