To develop series of core courses in the humanities at the University of Alabama which will eventually serve as the basic humanities requirement in the College of Arts and Sciences and as area electives for students in other colleges and schools in the University. B) To examine the entire range of current humanities offerings and to propose and carry out a reorganization of present resources deemed necessary in order to assure a quality liberal education in the University. C) To strengthen the position of the humanities in the University curriculum.
