Program in the Humanities for the Health Sciences

To provide released time for 6 faculty members in Philosophy and Theology who will do research on religious and ethical issues in health care delivery and who will participate in joint meetings with the students form four Health Sciences (Medicine, Dentistiry, Pharmacy, and Nursing). Topics include: senility-euthanasia, transplants, sterilization. For the students to have the opportunity to study the crucial social and ethical questions which they will face after graduation, the humanities faculty would prepare tehmselves to point out the questions and offer methods for solutions.
