Pilot Program in Semiotic in the Humanties

To inaugurate and facilitate the integration of semiotics (general philosophical theories of signs and symbols) into the Humanities curriculum at Indiana University. The program will consist of a lecture course, Semiotics in the Humanities; a series of lectures and seminars offered by outstanding visiting semioticians a survey of Indiana U. Library holdings in semiotics, with recommendations for relevant acquisitions.
