The Humanities and Interdisciplinary General Education

This grant will (a) assist IN conducting five experimental, interdisciplinary courses involving the humanities; and, (b) provide for the evaluation and the utilization of this experience as the basis for formulating a complete revision of the curriculum around an interdisciplinary general education program. Goal is to (a) rejuvenate the humanities in the midst of a decline in registration, (b) to provide a clear liberal arts context for the career-oriented programs, (c) to develop interdisciplinary vehicles specifically designed to revitalize general education, and (d) to secure approval of a required program of interdisciplinary education.
