" ' To have the entire university faculty discover the humanistic dimensions of their disciplines, develop interdisciplinary courses in the humanities, and bring about structural changes in the organization and administration of academic programs in the fields of the humanities Format will consist of five colloquia, each a two-day "mini-conference.1 Topics are: (1) "The Images of Man"; (2) "Humanism and Science"; (3) "The Democratic Tension"; (4) "The Humanities--High and Low Culture"; and, (5) "The Humanities in the University". Goal is to create new kinds of courses which transcend departmental lines.
