Western Humanism: A Pilot Program

To plan a year-long course in Western Humanism, Classical the first semester and Christian the second. Students who take the proposed course will be able to move into allied humanistic disciplines having a firm acquaintance with major works of Western Humanism and a knowledge of their historical and intellectual setting. Funds will meet the expenses of meetings of faculty to discuss syllabus and mechanics of the course; visits by outside evaluators to study the program in operation; audio-visual aids; evaluative sessions; released time for professors.
