A Pilot Program in the Study of the Human Dimensions of Science and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

To develop and teach 4 humanities courses and to evaluate them in terms of a) their educational value, b) the future development of the Human Dimensions Center and c) the role of Humanities education at Rensselaer. The proposed 4-track humanities curriculum is a second step in the development of the Human Dimensions Center. This program will bring the present humanities curriculum into the context of the 20th c. humanities by extending the reach of the traditional humanities disciplines into the contemporary human dimensions of science and technology.
