To develop an alternative history course on world Civilization, centered around small group media presentations and small group discussions. The model will enable students to consider and react to civilizations other than their own society; to develop the abilities and interest of freshman students in other civilizations and in an appreciation of history and the humanities. Material will be based on four major civilizations, Indie, Islamic, Sinic, and Western.
