To develop a Program of Advanced Literary Study (PALS). An intellectually coherent and professionally relevant program of graduate work in literature for a significant and influential group - high school and community college teachers in the Boston area holding M.A.'s, who have no organized opportunity to continue advanced humanistic study in ways directly related to work in the classroom.
