A Program for Graduate Training in the History of the Indians of the Americas

To carry out a program for the training of graduate students in the history of the Indians of the Americas, attracting, training, and helping to place American Indians and others as professional historians. Training will be given in three ways: 1) to those who will go on toward the Ph.D. degree, 2) to those who intend to take the Masters as a terminal degree, and 3) to those who do not have a B.A. but due to their importance to tribal histories archives and museums should be trained for a certificate.
