Project to Improve Understanding of the American Revolution

Ohio State University proposes a five-week summer institute for thirty secondary school teachers to imporve the understanding and the quality of instruction of the American Revolution. The proposed project includes five major components: 1) a graduate level course in the American Revolution; 2) a series of lectures and discussions given and led by professional historians; 3) workshops in educational methods and materials; 4) experiences in the art contemporary to the American Revolution; 5) publication and production of written, audio and visual materials.
