To develop teacher training programs and instructional materials for the study of religion in elementary level social studies. The program involves video tapes clarifying recent Supreme Court decisions on instruction in religion in public schools and the rationale for teaching strategies which help students to grasp the meaning of religion and religious traditions and to make ethical judgements.
