To develop a pilot program in which volunteer architect/ planners of the Boston/Cambridge area make monthly visits into fourth grade social studies classes in the Cambridge school system to supplement the Urban Awareness program. The architects will involve the students in visits to construction sites and architectural offices, a walking history tour of Cambridge, and study of architects' slides, models, and materials. An administrative director and communications assistant will serve the organization of the program in recruiting the volunteers and in working out an education scheme.
