To implement a program of Humanistic Studies: Academic and Cultural Enrichment which provides an interdisciplinary, team- taught course in art, literature and drama, music, science, and social studies for able senior high school students from the inner-city. The program aims to produce independent thinkers and responsible citizens as well as to motivate toward continuing schooling in the arts and sciences those with potential for academic successes and leadership but who are liable to succumb to despair and frustration.
