To develop a program for non-indoctrinative moral education consistent with the ideals and standards of an open, pluralistic democratic society Moral education is here understood as education in decision-making and in the understanding of values and principles which underlie human decisions. The project will train volunteer teachers in the theory and practice of moral education produce classroom materials, and employ them experimentally in local junior and senior High schools.
