To provide curriculum materials and guidance for the nationwide development of elementary and junior high school Latin programs. Objectives include (1) development of third-year curriculum materials (students' text books and teachers' manuals); (2) establishment of additional pilot programs for continued testing of both first and second year materials; (3) revision of first year curriculum materials; (4) preparation of essential audiovisual materials; (5) an extensive promotional campaign; (6) providing assistance and guidance for development of new programs nationwide; (7) a summer teaching institute with George Washington University; and (8) preparation of a film for promotion and teacher training.
