Improving the Teaching of Poetry in Secondary Schools

To conduct a 3 week intensive seminar for secondary English teachers. Designed to help overcome their hesitancy in teaching poetry units to students by enriching their understanding of poetry, the poetic, craft, and the motives of the poet in writing poetry. It will be supplemented by workshops in appropriate pedagogical materials and methods.
