To underwrite a summer workshop for secondary school educators during June and July of 1977, which will introduce these teachers to the theory and practice of reconstructing family history, with primary methodological emphasis placed on the techniques of oral interviewing. Methods employed will include lectures, discussions, compilation of teaching materials and syllabi, trips to selected neighborhoods, and interview assignments in cognate communities.
