To edit for publication the 150,000 word manuscript autobiography of John Wrenshall (1761-1821), a self-educated merchant and Methodist lay preacher who migrated from England to the United States in 1794, settling in 1796 in Pittsburgh, where he "planted" Methodism and prospered as a family man, merchant, and minister.
