To write a book dealing with : 1) a history of theories of concepts from Plato to Russell to Moore; 2) a criticism of the doctrine that all concepts and their corresponding terms are and must be governed by sets of definitive criteria; and 3) a sampling of concepts, especially basic humanistic ones, whose uses rest on varying degrees of the absences of necessary and sufficient criteria.
