Cornell University (Ithaca, NY 14850-2820)

To conduct a study of the changing anthropological theories and methodologies from the mid 19th century to the present utilizing anthropological journals, monographs and reports. The study focuses on the two general anthropological paradigms which dominated the field from the mid 19th century, and attempts to deal with yet another emerging modern paradigm and methodology and to shed light on how and why such changes occurred in this humanistic discipline.
