To complete an edition of the Greek text of Galen's treatise De Semine. with introduction, English translation, and commentary. The work will eventually he published as a volume of the Corpus Medicorum Graecorum. Galen is important not only for the history of ancient Greek medicine but also for Greek philosophy. His work De.Semine. on the anatomy and physiology of the reproductive organs and the fetus, is in large part organized as a criticism of Aristotle's views on these matters. Further, no English translation has ever been published of De Semine.
