To examine the concept of right to revolution, and its transfer from Parliament to the people. Locke noted this in his Second Treatise This was a fundamental alteration not only in the right of revolution but in the general theory of sovereignty. This project will account for the introduction of this change and to clarify its political significance. The project will also clarify the political intentions of the Second Treatise and its historical significance.
