To examine in detail the application of the theory of liberty to particular First Amendment and problems such as deformation, restrictions on false advertising, the "fairness doctrineâ„¢. To produce a monograph which will be of interest to legal theorists and others including philosophers. In addition the study will undertake a more general investigation of the ideal of the person underlying this appeal to autonomy, of the structure of this conception and of its central role in liberal political and moral theory.
