To write a catalogue raisonne of the early 14th century Sienese painter, Ducco di Buoninsegna, which will examine the works both for style and iconography and will also consider his assistants and followers. Duccio is one of the significant figures of late medieval painting and the so-called "Father of Sienese art." He was in the vanguard of those who created a new, human imagery which paved the way for the Italian Renaissance. There is no modern, thorough monograph on him in English so that need for this study is valid. P.I. has already compiled and translated into English all of the Duccio documents. This additional research will lead to better teaching and interpreting of the humanities
