Davkota and Modern Nepali Poetry

To continue a study of Laxmi Prasad Devkota (1909-1959), a Nepali poet and writer. He wrote in all the genres of prose and verse, treating contemporary subjects, themes from classical Sanskrit drama and epic, and material from the Western tradition. There is no work in English on Devkota, and no important study in Nepali. This will be an important project in that it will throw light on a largely unexplored region of Asian humanities.
