Aspects of the Epic

The study is neither a survey nor a systematic attempt at poetics, rather it is an attempt to re-create some actively felt responses to epic poetry by examining not the conventional elements but rather certain crucial aspects which have not had substantial or truly discriminating critical analysis. Epic poetry, from Virgil to Milton will be studied and explored for their significant implications.
