To develop a comprehensive theory in a phenomenological study of the prophetic tradition of the Near East elucidating the affinities between the figures of the prophet and the clown-fool, the structure of biblical myths and mythologies of comedy, comic rituals and Jewish and Christian liturgies, the comic hero and medieval "holy fool," etc.
