Corpus of the Early Christian Churches of Thessaloniki

To compile and publish an art historical corpus of the early Christian churches of Thessaloniki. The study will be devoted to an analysis of the structure and decoration of these churches and their history. Each building will be studied in an attempt to establish the date of its foundation, the original aspect of its plan and elevation, its subsequent building periods, it precise function, its liturgical furnishings and planning, its architectural sculpture, and its mosaic or fresco decoration.
