To edit and translate into English John Chrysostom's On the Blessed Babylas and Against the Greeks, an example of ancient Christian literature equally important to the Western tradition as pagan antiquity. Chrysostom's work was directed against his pagan contemporaries in the city of Antioch around 370 A.D. Historically the discourse is important, illuminating pagan-Christian relations in the 4th century, but has been neglected because of mistaken ideas concerning its authenticity.
