To complete a book on English Gothic illuminated manuscripts 1285-1385 which will consist of a catalogue of 150-nf significant manuscripts, including descriptions of textual and pictorial contexts, commentaries evaluating the evidence for date, place of origin and relationship to other manuscripts, as well as bibliographical references. Catalogue will be preceded by an essay treating the stylistic development of English manuscript illustration, and reviewing and refining the present ideas of grouping English manuscripting of the period into various styles, schools and workshops.
