To complete a critical edition of the Babylonian Talmud Tractate Nazir, a complete apparatus of variant readings for this tractate compiled from manuscripts, early prints, and medieval commentators. In additional, a lower critical commentary is being prepared in which the history of the text of each periscope is traced and placed within its scholastic-historic context and an original text (or texts) is established for each periscope. Later emendations and corruptions are accounted for as well.
