To continue work on a monography about a group of Italian learned physicians who flourished in the late 13th and early 14th centuries at the studium (university) of Bologna. Study will focus especially on Taddeo Alderotti (d.1295), medical author, medical practitioner and influential figure. He and his pupils interested themselves in Aristotelian moral and natural philosophy and vernacular Italian literature as well as in medicine.
