A study on Madame de Graffigny (1695-1758), writer and hostess of a salon, which will examine such areas in the social history of literature during the Enlightenment as the place of women in the literary establishment, the functioning of the literary marketplace, the role of the salons in the spread of ideas, and the evolution of taste.
