To write a monograph documenting, describing and analyzing the Roman, statutory and case law regulating domestic property and inheritance in 14th & 15th century Florence and her dominions. Study will consider the manner in which propertied families attempted to manipulate legal doctrines, institutions and procedures to protect and increase their patrimonies and prestige.
