To investigate the general question of the possible relations between psychology and epistemology in Kant's arguments; and to examine the historical evidence bearing on the development of Kant's model of mental faculties, to determine to what extent his often psychological language is truly indicative of particular psychological doctrines; and to construct a detailed interpretation of the psychological model (or models) employed in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, and to establish whether it is essential to the accomplishment of Kant's ultimate epistemological purposes or not.
