FAIN: FA-12106-78

The primary object of the proposed study will be that of the music which includes such major works as the "Second Quartet" (1907-08). Perhaps the most striking and influential musical development in the 20th century was the emergence of Arnold Schoenberg's so-called atonal music in about 1909. The term "structural model" refers to the collection of descriptive terms, analytical procedures, and basic concept of structure that are required to elucidate a particular music.
