To prepare a commentary for Book V of Richard Hooker's Of the Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity (1597), which will be published as part of the Folger Shakespeare Library edition of the Works of Richard Hooker by the Belknap Press of Harvard University Press. The first two volumes of text were published this year. The commentary will be basically historical in nature and will include a substantial introductory essay, brief essays concerning major subjects treated by Hooker, and the usual notes concerning sources and other references.
