The Chronology of Phoenician Expansion

To publish an annotated bibliography of available materials on the Phoenicians, materials which are now so widely scattered that those interested in the Phoenicians in one country are usually not aware of what is going on in another country. PI will study the pottery in 14 of the countries involved and will develop a corpus of Phoenician pottery which will attempt to provide a chronology of Phoenician expansion, and also to develop a corpus of inscribed Phoenician pottery.
