Shakespeare's Dramaturgy

To write a boot, consisting of 5 chapters, dealing with the 17 plays that Shakespeare wrote before the Globe playhouse opened in 1599. Chapter I will closely study Elizabethan theatrical practice in the 1570s and 1580s; Chapter II will describe Shakespeare's general approach towards drama; Chapter III will study the way Shakespeare handles large structures ; Chapter IV will analyze in detail how Shakespeare organizes individual scenes; and, Chapter V will explore the interrelationship of the mimetic experience, artistic form, and discursive meaning.
