The Transmission of Medieval Music

Study is part of a continuing investigation into the processes of generation and dissemination of music in the Middle Ages. Study addresses itself to the phenomenology of the music, its composition, and performance, and the role of notation in both processes. Focus will be on the transmission of tropes and of Parisian organum.
