FAIN: FA-12354-78

Clifford Mason
Unaffiliated independent scholar

To do a critical analysis and appraisal of Black Theater from 1964-1976 dealing only with produced plays which have arrived New York. Using the constant of social consciousness as the connecting link, study would include changes in theme and content, as well as style that have taken place during this period. Study will also research into previous periods of Black Theater to study the origins of its themes and characters and will compare with dominate themes in contemporary white theater.
