Critical Edition of Servian Commentaries on Virgil

A critical edition presenting in parallel columns the commentaries of Servius Auctus and of Servius in Aeneid 9-12 below which will be a testimonial apparatus and detailed , critical apparatuses. Grant will support research, planning, revision of provisional text and composition of the Latin preface. Some travel to Europe and to Harvard to recheck manuscripts and to use material not available in Berkeley.
