Values in Ethics

FAIN: FA-50086-04

Joel J. Kupperman
University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT 06269-9000)

The project is to complete two books that together give an account of value that makes it central to ethics, and also provides a down to earth sense of the values of everyday life. One, primarily for specialists, will examine the place of value in the structure of ethics. The other, for general readers and to be entitled Six Mistakes about the Good Life, focuses on appealing but faulty simple ideas about what will make a life rewarding.
