The purpose of this project is multiple. I will publish for the first time a book written by German Jewish journalist Rudolf Schay in 1939 called "Why Do They Hate the Jews?" The edition will include a one-hundred page preface giving Schay's biography, his career in and exile from Germany to the Philippines, the circumstances in which he wrote this book, as well as a critical study of the work in comparison with Hannah Arendt's "Origins of Totalitarianism," which it resembles but which it predates by 12 years. Schay's book is a major contribution to 20th century political thought and it has been, until I discovered the manuscript, completely unknown.
