Study in the social history of the Mexican Revolution, the impact of a prolonged war on the social order. Fellow will utilize data already accumulated on microfilm from previous research trips to Mexico City, plus periodical literature and limited edition publications available only in Mexico City and a limited body of Mexican protest literature and folk ballads (corridos) to assess the nature of social dislocation wrought by ten years of civil war.
