Comparison of the abolition of slavery in US and Brazil. With intense interest in Black History in recent years, much attention has been given to the problem of racial prejudice in the US and its roots in the slave tradition. To gain fuller understanding of the diverse factors that act upon this prejudice, we should be aware of which aspects are unique to our own culture and which result from similar situtations. Fellow's previous research has dealt with slavery and abolition Brazil.
